The West Bengal Public Service Commission (WBPSC) had organized the recruitment, selection and appointment for the position of Panchayat Accounts and Audit Officer for the session 2016-17. Sticking to the purported schedule, the written examinations were conducted in the month of February.
The WBPSC results are yet to be announced, considering that the written tests were conducted all over the state that saw the involvement of a large number of candidates applying for the post.
The Panchayat Accounts and Audit Officer (Special) Recruitment Examination results will be declared and will be up for display on the official website of the WBPSC, so candidates have to keep a tab on the updates online.
It should be borne in mind that the results are provisional in nature, where the names of the candidates called for the Personality Test and their subsequent appointment would solely be incumbent upon their eligibility, based on the marks awarded in the written examination and the verification of all original documents that are required.
Candidates are liable to have their candidature/appointments cancelled, if at any stage the verification of the documents produces ineligibility on the part of the candidates, effectively debarring them from the position being applied, recruited and appointed for.
The selection of the candidates for the post of a Panchayat Accounts & Audit Officer will be based on the marks obtained in the written exam, the personality test and the performance in the medical examination.
WBPSC Panchayat Accounts Audit Officer Result 2017
The selection process is rather simple: it consists of three stages – the written test, the personality test and the medical examination – that are used to determine the eligibility and merit of the applying candidates.
The written test has a total score of 450 marks, divided into seven papers. Five of the papers carry 50 marks each whilst the remaining two papers are of a 100 marks each. Candidates passing the written test are eligible to go for the personality test.
The personality test is an examination that carries a total of 50 marks. As the name would suggest, this test examines the aptitude and personality of candidates that would be very necessary for their job.
If the candidates are shortlisted from the personality test, they are allowed to appear for a medical test. Here, the physical fitness of the candidates are examined by an appointed medical board which declares the candidate’s health on being par with the required criteria for government service. Based on this, the necessary appointments are allotted by the WBPSC for the selected candidates.
