WBGDRB Result 2017 has been announced now at www.wbgdrb.in by West Bengal Group D Recruitment Board. WB Group D Examination was successfully conducted the written examination on May 20, 2017. The exam first scheduled for May 14 but later it was postponed.
The WB Group D result would be declared in two phases. The first result includes the results of candidates who have successfully passed the written examination. Now, the interview would be commenced from 16th October 2017 to finalize the selection for the posts.
West Bengal Group D Selection Process:
- Written Examination of 85 Marks having Multiple Choice Questions with the duration of 90 Minutes.
- Interview (Personality Test) to be conducted for 15 Marks by the WBGDRB Panel.
- Verification of the character, documents, and other required certificates.
- Medical Examination.
The Group D Exam results are up for display and downloading purpose on the official website. The date of WBGDRB result declaration is 21st September 2017.
Candidates must check their results from the official website www.wbgdrb.in and they are required to enter the details they had while filling out application forms.

Candidates were required to appear for a written examination that comprises of 85 marks of multiple choice questions. The MCQ questions were of 1 mark each. The duration of the examination was 1 and a half hours. The questions were based on class VIII standard of West Bengal Board of Secondary Education.
The qualifying marks aka Cut Off is fixed by the West Bengal Group D Recruitment Board after accessing the answer sheets. A limited number of candidates who have already passed the written examination would be summoned for the interview.
The number of candidates for the interview are called in the ration of 1:3 for the available positions. The WBGDRB interview would be based on the general awareness and suitability of the candidate for public service.

Thanks to all the aspirants who attended the written test peacefully on May 20, 2017. A high standard of code of conduct for any public, private, competitive examination has been set by 17 Lakh candidates (14 Lakh from West Bengal & 3 Lakh from neighbour states).
In the next phase, the recruitment board scanned the OMR Sheets for evaluation. The evaluation of the answers sheets took 3 Months. The Written Exam Merit List for Group D Recruitment is available on the board’s website after 90 Days of the exam date.
Now, the board has announced the Group D Exam Result on the official website www.wbgdrb.in which can be checked by the candidates. All eligible candidates will get Email about Interview Date, Location, Timing Etc.

- Open the official website of West Bengal Group D Recruitment Board.
- Click “Group D Exam Merit List” Link.
- Download the PDF File and Search your roll number in it.
- If the online result checking facility is enabled at the official website, you can check the Group D Results using hall ticket number & date of birth online.
The provisionally selected candidates after the interview would be recruited to various posts by the West Bengal Group D Recruitment Board.
All provisionally selected candidates would be required to fill up a “Verification Roll” which would be checked by the authorities concerned, before recruitment procedure is completed.

Candidates would receive a No Objection notice receipt after verification and would be required to go through a medical examination in state government-designated hospitals.
The list of provisionally selected candidates would be sent forward to the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms under the Government of West Bengal for allocating them to different offices under the State Government.
After allocation to offices and beneficiaries of State Government has been completed, appointment letters would be issued and sent by the concerned government departments of West Bengal.
