The registration dates for UP Samajwadi Awas Yojana (UPAVP) Scheme 2017 has been extended to March 31, 2017. Earlier, the last date for submitting the UP Awas Vikas Parishad application forms was December 2016, which is now pushed to March 31, 2017.
The UPAVP has published an official notification to inform the public about the extension of the last date of the UP Samajwadi Awas Yojana 2017.
The main objective of the UP Samajwadi Awas Yojana is to plan and develop state of the art new areas for residential or industrial at affordable prices for all the sections and units of the society.

What is UP Samajwadi Awas Yojana (UPAVP) Scheme?
Uttar Pradesh Housing and Development Board organises committee, which makes master plans for housing schemes and implements it as per the requirement of planning and project. The board develops housing colonies under the Uttar Pradesh Awas Vikas Parishad and allot it to the interested buyers of the UP state.

- Scheme is not only for Uttar Pradesh State residents. Indian Resident of any state can apply for this scheme.

Eligiblity for UP Samajwadi Awas Yojana 2017?
The applicant must have attained the age of 18 years while applying for the UP Awas Vikas Parishad Scheme 2017.
The best part of the UP Awas Vikas Parishad Scheme 2017 is that there is no income limitation to avail the benefits of the U.P Housing & Development Board Scheme.
However, the applicant or his/her family should not own any other plot or house in the city where s/he is allotted the house under the UP Awas Vikas Parishad Scheme. Also, the applicant of his/her family must not own more than one plot or house in UP State.
The applicant or his/her family must not own the property more than specified under Urban Land Ceiling and Regulation Act-1976 at the time of allotment or after the allotment. This also includes the property allotted by the Housing Board.
In case the applicant or his/her family member has applied for any other housing scheme and allotted a plot or house under that scheme in the meantime, his/her allotment of house/plot under UP Awas Vikas Parishad Scheme 2017 will be cancelled automatically.
How to apply for UP Samajwadi Awas Yojana 2017?
The applicant should visit the official website of Uttar Pradesh Housing and Development Board i.e. http://www.upavp.com to register for the scheme.
The aspirant should fill up the application form along with the four copies of Challan attached in the application booklet.
After filling up the application form correctly, submit the application form along with the registration amount either in cash or bank draft payable to U.P Housing & Development Board before the last date.
Major Points to be noted:
The bank draft should be encashed in the same city where the application form is submitted.
The bank will return the fourth copy of the Challan to the applicant after the submission of application form, which the applicant should keep with him/her for further reference.
In case the applicant deposit the application letter by post, s/he must ensure that the duly filled application letter along with the bank draft and Challan should reach to the Indian Overseas Bank on the address mentioned below before the last date of the application.

What are the Rules for Registration in U.P Housing & Development Board?
There is no provision for joint registrations. Hence, the registrations cannot be made for more than one or joint names. However, joint registration will only be valid if the applicants are legally husband and wife.
As per the rules of the Housing Board, the registration can only be transferred to the husband or wife or any close blood relations names in any special case only.
The registration can be made in the name of an individual only. The registration in the name of certain society will not be entertained.
The Housing Board is not accountable to allot the houses/ plots to every registered holder. Those applicants who are not allotted the house/plot cannot claim the dues or amount spent.
In the case of exceeding the number of registrations than the available plots/ land, the board will follow the first come first serve policy and will give preference to the old registrations over the new registrations. The allotment for the applicants belonging to the General Category will be made through the lottery system.
In case the applicant wants to cancel his/her registration, s/he will have to deposit the fourth copy of the Challan received by the bank at the time of submission of the application form.
Points to be noted:
The amount will be returned after the deduction of 20% of the total amount paid.
The board shall not be entitled to pay the interest on the amount paid for the registration.
If the Board cancels the registration, then the applicant will get the full amount she/he paid for the registration without any deduction. In case the amount is returned after one year, then the applicant will also get the interest at the rate of 6% on the amount s/he paid.
