Usually, the work of Territorial army is to manage the civil work and deal with natural calamities, maintenance etc. But in case if there is a war or a mission to accomplish, TA recruits have to participate with the regular army whenever required.

Indian Territorial Army (TA) Education Qualification
The aspiring candidates for these positions are required to fulfill certain standard criteria in order to apply for these positions.
Soldier GD: If the candidate wishes to apply under soldier (GD) category then he must be a 10th pass, attaining at least 45% in aggregate and 33% in each subject. In case the candidate has passed 12th standard or is a graduate of B.A, B.Sc or B.Com then there is no specified percentage requirement.
Soldier Clerk: In order to apply for the position of Soldier Clerk the applicant must have passed 12th or the consecutive Intermediate Exam in either stream of Science, Commerce or Arts. The minimum percentage requirement for this position is 50% in aggregate and 40% in each subject.
Soldier Tradesman: Consequently, if the applicant wishes to apply as a Soldier Tradesman therefore he or she may be a 8th pass, 10th pass or even ITI graduate.
Indian Army TA Bharti Eligibility
Nationality: Only for the male citizen of India.
Age: 18 to 42 years as on the last date of application form submission.
Educational Qualification: Depends on the post as described above.
Physical Standards: The aspirant must be physically, mentally, and medical fit as per the required standards.
How to Apply TA Army Application Form
First of all, candidate must know that Indian Army TA Recruitment Notification is issued through Newspaper, Employment Magazines. There isn’t much notifications available about TA Army Bharti online.
Unlike the regular India Army, the Territorial Army Forms are not available online. Candidates must obtain the TA Army form through a local shop or download the form from the official website.
The job advertisement for Territorial Army is generally issued in May-June months. Candidates must attach the application form in a self addressed envelope with postal stamps affixed worth ₹27 along with two recently captured passport size photos of the candidate.
There is no other application fee, exam charges required to be paid. Territorial Army Group Headquarters will allot the exam center for the written exam as per the candidate’s zone.
TA Army Selection Process
The applications whose registration is accepted, will be invited to take part in the written test. The interview will be conducted once the written exam is cleared. Qualified candidates will further undergo through the SSB, Medical board tests, Police verification for the final joining.
