SSC Stenographer Result 2017 – Grade C and D Exam Cut Off

The Staff Selection Commission has successfully conducted the written exam for SSC Stenographer Grade C & D. It is the national level examination by the commission which has been organised at thousands of exam centres. The written test for Stenographer Grade C & D was commenced in September 2017.

The Commission is now busy to analyse the answer sheets and collecting the marks for selected candidates. The SSC Stenographer Exam Result shall be declared within Oct-Nov months. If you’re first time SSC aspirant then let me tell you, it takes at least 4-5 months for this body to produce and publish the results.

The Staff Selection Commission which is known as SSC has completed the written exam for Grade C & D posts. The registrations for SSC Stenographer Grade C & D exam were geared up in June-July 2017.

The test held for 200 marks whose question paper was divided into three sections. The first section having questions from General Intelligence and Reasoning and the second section had some from General Awareness. The third section consisted the questions from the English Language for 100 marks.

First two section having 50 Marks each are available in both Hindi and English language, but the third part is only in English (isn’t that so obvious?).

SSC Stenography / Skill Test Details

The candidates who will qualify in the written test are selected for taking part in the skill test. The time duration of Steno Typing test is 10 minutes. The candidates who have applied for Grade C have to complete 100 wpm in English/Hindi and aspirant who has applied for Grade D posts have to complete the steno typing with the speed of 80 wpm.

The list of shortlisted candidates for Skill Test will be available along with the written exam cutoff marks. The list will be prepared Roll Number wise. The Stenograph Cut off will be separate for Grade C and Grade D Posts.

Note: The skill test carries Qualifying Nature (It is vital to qualify this test but no marks shall be considered for it while making the final list). The final merit list is subject to the candidate’s marks in the written examination.

Last year, 2,12,823 candidates appeared for Steno examination conducted by the Staff Selection Commission. Only 4246 candidates qualified the written test for Grade C posts. A total of 30,522 candidates were selected to take part in the skill test for Grade D posts.
