SBI PO Result 2017 announced for Online Prelim Exam – Check Score

State Bank of India released the prelim exam result for Probationary Officer Recruitment 2017. The SBI PO result is now available to watch online at www.sbi.co.in which is authenticated web portal of the bank.

The Examination took place on various dates in April-May 2017. Seeking the track record, SBI was take about two months to process and announce the outcomes for this examination. But it was announced earlier compared to the previous times.

State Bank of India conducted Probationary Officer online examination on April 29 & 30 and May 6 & 7, 2017. The overwhelmed response was noted on the exam venues as a job in SBI is almost every student’s dream.


On the basis of this cadre, Probationary Officers will be recruited in various branches of State Bank Group. State Bank of India is one of the largest banks in Asia including five associate banks (now merged in SBI).

The prelim examination was conducted for 100 marks with following subjects & questions:

English language: 30 questions.
Quantitative ability: 35 questions.
Quantitative aptitude: 35 questions.

The recruitment will be done through three phases:

  • Preliminary Test.
  • Main Examination.
  • Group Discussion (GD) & Personal Interviews.

The aspirants must know that the Prelim exam was one with qualifying nature, no marks from the prelim test will be included in the merit list.

Candidates who get qualifies in the main exam will be able to grab the SBI PO Interview Call Letter one week before the GD, Personal Interview date. Only the shortlisted candidates will be appearing in Phase III of this recruitment.

The Main Examination will carry objective type questions for 200 Marks while the descriptive portion holds 50 Marks. SBI will hold the main examination in the first week of June.
