Ordnance Factory Exam Syllabus 2017 – Group C Semi-Skilled Exam Pattern

Ordnance Factory Board (OFB) under the Government of Board would soon hold the written examination for the recruitment of semi-skilled Industrial employees and Labor Group “C” posts in varied trades and ordnance factories across the length and breadth of the country.

Selection Process for OFB Recruitment:

  1. Written Exam.
  2. Trade Test.
  3. Interview.

The written examination constitutes the first stage of the selection procedure. The written examination would be of objective nature, consisting multiple choice questions (MCQ) of maximum 100 marks.

The paper will be divided into two consecutive parts. Part A would consist of questions pertaining to General Science and Quantitative Aptitude. Part A would be for 20 marks. The questions would be of 10th standard.

Part B, consisting of the remaining 80 marks, would have questions relevant to the trade pertaining to the NCVT syllabus. All questions are compulsory and candidates would have to attempt all of the choices. There would be no negative marking for wrong answers.

The total duration allotted to candidates is of 2 hours while the time allotted to candidates utilizing the facilities of a scribe is of 2 hours and 40 minutes. The answer sheet would be an OMR sheet.

  • Candidates are advised to not use pencils to darken the circles as such would stand rejected by the Ordnance Factory Board. So, candidates must use a black pen to darken the correct answers.
  • No marks would be allotted to candidates having circled multiple answers for the same questions.

The OFB  syllabus for the Industrial Employees consist of General Science, Quantitative Aptitude and NCVT Questions which would be followed by the next stage of practical examination in the form of a trade test.

The General Science questions of 10 marks aim to test the candidate’s awareness of the general environment, while quantitative aptitude for 10 marks aim to test the candidate’s mathematics skill up to 10th standard.

The NCVT questions would pertain to one’s specific trade for a whopping 80 marks.

The merit shall be decided on the basis of the written examination. A candidate’s general awareness regarding the environment, current events in national as well as international sphere, Constitution and Geography would be put to test. It would be followed by a trade test of qualifying nature.
