OPSC PGT Admit Card 2017 Written Test Date via opsc.gov.in

For its state level Post Graduate Teacher examination, Odisha Public Service Commission will issue the hall tickets through online mode. At www.opsc.gov.in , PGT Exam Admit Card will be available for downloading.

This examination will be conducted tentatively in October 2017 as the exact dates for exam are yet to be revealed. Odisha PSC announced recruitment on 230 posts under this advertisement.

As per the exam notice, Physically Handicapped Candidates who would take help of scribe, will get extension in timing. The Registration Number and Date of Birth (DOB) need to be entered by the candidate to download his / her exam hall Admission Certificate.

The competition in such type of posts is usually low as there are low number of applications received. Generally, the highly qualified candidates are either already employed or targeting any higher job.

Odisha Public Service Commission will host the written exam as Phase 1 of the recruitment. The PGT Exam to have 150 Questions for a total of 150 marks. The question paper shall consist of General Knowledge, General English and many subject related questions.

Selection Process: Written Exam > Vocal Test (Interview).

The Question Paper has been divided in Two parts. The Part I is Compulsory for for all the candidates while Part II will be having question related to subject such as Physical, English, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany, Mathematics, English, Odia, Commerce etc.

The Part I of the paper will be having 50 Questions for 50 marks from the following subjects:

  • General English.
  • Computer Aptitude.
  • Pedagogy.
  • General Knowledge.

As discussed already, Part II will compromise the subject relevant questions which will be 100 Questions for 100 Marks. The level of the questions will be of Graduation standard.

At last, the interview worth 50 Marks will be conducted for the qualifiers of the Written Examination.

Important Instructions to OPSC PGT Exam Candidates

  • Candidate should approach in test venue before at least 20 minutes of exam timing.
  • No candidate will be allowed at all to enter the hall after 10 minutes of exam getting started.
  • Silence must be followed on test centres.
  • Along with the admission ticket with passport sized photo affixed on it, candidate must bring one government ID proof.
  • At attendance sheet, both signature by ball pen & thumb impression will be taken.
  • Use of electronics items is prohibited so don’t bring one with you.
