The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) recently notified the bumper recruitment for 19243 clerk posts on www.ibps.in. The process is same as previous times. There will be two common written exams (CWE) Prelim Exam and Mains. In last, there comes the turn for the interview.

First of all, let’s understand the selection process of clerks in IBPS Recruitment. Having computer and state language proficiency are the must for every candidate so read the eligibility criteria closely before applying for this recruitment.

A common written examination (CWE-VI) will be organized for all candidates who application form is accepted. The mains test is conducted only for the qualifiers of First Phase exam. Both exams are taken online. Candidates shortlisted in Main Exam will head over to the personal interview which is usually hosted by the participating banks.

IBPS Clerks CWE-VI Prelim Exam Pattern & Syllabus 2016

This is the first phase of the recruitment of Clerical Cadre vacancies through IBPS in public sector Banks. The duration of this test is 1 Hours and you have a maximum of 100 questions in the IBPS Clerk Prelims test.

IBPS Clerk Main Exam Syllabus Scheme 2016

This one is conducted online for the candidates who already qualified in the prelim test. The main exam for Clerk (IBPS) is hosted for 200 marks. There are 200 questions available in this paper which can be answered in the maximum allowed time of 2 Hours & 15 Minutes.

Those who don’t prepare well can be seen yawning through such long paper.

Same as the first one, this paper shall also be available in both Hindi and English language except the “English Language” section.

IBPS Clerk Exam Negative Marking – The Penalty for Wrong Answers

The negative evaluation has been there since the start of Common Written Exams in 2011 by IBPS. There is the deduction of marks for wrong inputs in the IBPS objective tests. For every wrong answer, 0.25% Mark will be cut from the candidate’s score.

Same as the most of other exams, the penalty is only applicable on wrong answers. If you left any question unanswered then no negative marks will be added for it.

IBPS Clerk Exam Centers Information

  • There are thousands of centers in the whole country where the online test for IBPS Clerk recruitment will be conducted. You may opt for the nearby one or the one of your choice.
  • The request about changes in the exam schedule, test venue won’t be entertained under any circumstances.
  • However, IBPS holds the rights to change the exam centre, schedule whenever required to do so.
  • A candidate must appear for this exam on his/her expenses and risks. IBPS isn’t liable for any mishappening while attending the CWE or any part of the recruitment selection.
  • The venues for the Mains test are limited. The candidate may be allotted the distant centers for the main exam.
  • A rude behaviour/misbehave during the exam, interview commencement may lead to the candidature rejection.

IBPS Clerk Interview 2016

A Candidate has to clear the way to interview by qualifying the main examination. The participating banks will be conducting the interviews with the help of IBPS in various states. The date of interview, venue, timing will be notified to the shortlisted candidates via the call letters.

The weight age of CWE (Main Examination ) and the interview is 80:20. Means while finalizing the selection list, 80% marks will be added from the main exam score while 20% out of the interview marks.

Visiting the official website www.ibps.in is recommended to catch up the latest notices for Clerk tests. Same as the CWE, the request for the change in schedule, timing, or place won’t be listened for the interview too. The interview is taken for 100 marks.
